We are Loyalheart Labradors from Swain, NY. A tiny rural community on the western edge of the Finger Lakes. We operate a small family run kennel and have been raising quality English Labs 30 years. Our dogs come from mainly show champion lines with some dual champions (show and field titles) in their pedigrees. All of our labs are from genetically sound stock, OFA good to excellent for hips, and with all eye clearances, no other genetic or chronic health problems, going back 6+ generations We breed for the following qualities; a mellow and loving temperment, conformation to the AKC standard, genetic and all- around good health, intelligence and trainability, and finally....natural hunting and retrieving abilities. We strive to produce quality puppies that will be fine examples of what Labrador Retrievers are all about. As mentioned our love for labs began with our Ebony who was our loyal companion, protector, nanny and hunter for eighteen years. She had several litters over the years and always produced wonderful pups. We couldn't be without a lab for long and soon aquired our Jasmine who is a descendent of our Ebony's 1st litter. Jaz is a fox-red (darkest shade in the yellows) and now retired with daughters Grace and Reba carrying on for her. She is 11 years young, OFA good, eyes cleared, and my most active girl yet in the field. We had the luck of breeding Jaz for many years to a son of CH. Lochliels Geordie Boy, Jo Jo. They have produced many beautiful litters. We have one of their sons, Loyalheart's Beauregard that we use for stud, he is a nice light yellow with wonderful temperment, looks, intelligence and hunting ability. Next we aquired Belle, a classic black that also produced yellows and Riley, a beautiful, blocky choclate from Pam Buckley at Humehill Labs (thanks Pam) They are my house dogs and just perfect in every way. Next came Millie; a blocky, big headed girl with a gorgeous black coat and thick otter tail. She came to us at 3 years old from another breeder and had one beautiful litter from which we kept Duke our black stud. Duke is big boned, blocky big head and heavily muscled. He's developing into a great hunter at three. He carries all 3 labrador colors. He has an extremely mellow temperment for a male and I sometimes call him EEyore. He is always the gentleman and dotes over my grandkids like my mamas. We have several up coming girls that will be bred in 2008; Loyalheart's Reba the Red a foxred, Loyalheart's Amazing Grace a black that also produces yellow, Raven of Loyalheart another black carrying yellow and choclate. Loyalheart's Jaded Lady "Jade" a choclate, and plan on adding several more to our future line up this year. We have a new choclate male, MacGyver from Longrifle Kennels, and a new yellow male pup, Gunner from Locust Hill to add new "blood" to our breeding program. I am a retired nurse and have filled the void with my labs and their babes. We live on the Fingerlakes Trail and on the edge of a 100+ acre wetland habitat on the Canaseraga Creek. Our dogs are in the woods, field and water daily. We raise 4-6 litters a year and have pups in all colors; black, choclate and the full spectrum of yellows. We give a two year health guarantee Our pups are born and raised inside our home. They recieve lots of love and attention from adults and children on a daily basis. My husband Jon and daughter Rachel are my dedicated and tolerant partners. My grandkids and nieces and nephews take care of the puppy playtime. The pups are socialized with the other adult dogs both inside and later outside. They learn about cats via our Callie and Harley. We start puppy food and crate training at 3-5 weeks and a slow weaning process. They usually can go to their new homes by 8 weeks with 1st set of shots, a series of deworming Rx and health cleared by our vet. In certain circumstances we will keep a pup longer per our vet's advice or to start training for buyers with special needs. Out of every litter we see a variety of personalities; some will be great hunters, scent/search dogs and agility candidates, others the doting companion and family dog, all will hunt with a little training and they all will be couch potatoes with no training required. If you are thinking about a "New Best Friend", think about contacting us. We welcome planned visits. We encourage people to reserve pups via our "waiting list" to assure the color and gender of their choice. Our prices range from $500-$10000. We request a non refundable deposit at the time the pups are born to keep your spot on the "list". (deposit will of course be refunded if something happens to the puppy before pick up time) Browse our other pages and enjoy the pictures. Thanks for your time and your interest. Sincerely, Patti & Rachel Scott Contact via: email admin@labsatloyalheart.com phone ; 607-545-9819 Because of human nature and our ability to change our minds, we do not hold any pup for anyone who is only in the " interested" stage of puppy buying. We will only consider a puppy sold after the buyer has given me a definite yes, and has sent out their deposit. I also reserve the right to return a deposit on any pup if upon meeting the buyer I do not feel their situation is right for one of our babies. It is truly an "adoption " process and I am responsible to find all our puppies the proper home. Thank you for your understanding.
